At Carbon Rewind, we are optimistic about the energy future of the UK, and committed to doing our part to deliver the vision of a more sustainable future.

Whether you are a home owner, tenant, private or public landlord, we can provide you with comprehensive solutions to reduce your energy consumption, saving on fuel bills and helping to address climate change at the same time.

We help householders and businesses to reduce their energy consumption dramatically, and we tap in to goverment funding to ensure that our efforts are focused on those who need it most.

FUNDING

Grants available under the UK Government’s Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme allow us to provide energy solutions free of charge to the majority of our customers. We work with a network of energy suppliers to help them meet their obligations under this scheme and help householders save money at the same time, so it’s a “win-win” scenario for all involved.

If you are in receipt of one of the following benefits, you may be eligible for the FREE supply and installation of home insulation or a new efficient heating system:

  • Pension Guarantee Credit
  • Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
  • Income Support

Our Directors

Andrew Clifford
Andrew is widely recognised as an authority in green building, having authored UKTI's definitive guide to sustainable construction in 2010 and contributed to the Constructing Excellence "Plain Guide to Sustainability." His residential projects include the landmark zero carbon "Avenue House", in north London, and he has delivered countless retrofits and interior remodelling projects, overseeing all elements from conceptual design through to handover.

Andrew was instrumental in the development of the SKA rating for commercial office fit-outs, and led prestigious projects such as remodelling the Bank of England and the interior design of ARUP's sustainable HQ building in London. His work was recognised with the Sustainable Designer of the Year award in 2005.

Mike Pidgeon
Mike has extensive experience in green building, both in the new build and retrofit sectors. He currently sits on the OFGEM Working Group for ECO3, and has been actively involved in the UK's construction industry for over a decade, with a particular focus on residential and educational projects.

His work extends to the Middle East, where he led the team on the UAE's first BREEAM International project, Zahia Gardens in Sharjah. He contributed to the development of the Estidama rating system in Abu Dhabi, and advised on numerous other master plans and commercial developments, as well as being a regular speaker in the "Retrofit Tech" series of events across the region.

Giving Back

Carbon Rewind is a business principally aimed at alleviating fuel poverty in the UK. We make a profit from that work, and we believe in re-investing our profits back into the communities in which we operate. Every year, 10% of our operating profits are allocated to the Carbon Rewind Community Fund, and we are currently open to applications for funding.

Additionally, we offer our employees the opportunity to participate in international development work. Both of our directors were fortunate enough to participate in charitable projects in developing countries (Andrew was part of a team building a sand dam in Kenya; Mike spent a month in Mozambique building a primary school), and we found these to be among the most rewarding and formative experiences of our careers. We want our staff to have the same opportunity, and we provide additional annual leave to encourage participation in such projects.

We work with local authorities to help them channel funding to help the most vulnerable households that are at the greatest risk of fuel poverty.
We participate actively in driving the UK's low carbon agenda, and are always looking to partner with innovative forward thinking organisations.
